INFO
My name is LeeAnne Smith,
Director of Eagles Way Creative Services.
I have extensive experience in the Graphic Design field. My experiences include working for/with: newspapers, printers, advertising agencies, service bureaus, entrepreneurs and small to large businesses/corporations. For the past 18 years, I have successfully run my own graphic design business: Eagles Way Creative Services.
Creative, easy to work with, professional and efficient, I believe communication is the most important goal to achieving marketing success. Appealing, uncluttered design coupled with a dynamic messages convey worth and value to it's audience.
One benefit to having a single person create your entire visual identity is the assurance that your identity adheres to a consistent look. This is where memorable, attractive branding starts, a consistent look and feel to all pieces causes the audience to recognize your business at a glance.
I offer personalized and professional attention to every project
at a fair price.
PROCEDURES
Initial jobs for new clients are estimated and half of the project cost is to be paid upfront before the work begins. Ongoing jobs (weekly ads within an established campaign, e.g.) are billed by the hour at $60/hour. I send invoices twice monthly.
The remaining balance due is expected within one week
of the invoice date.
CLIENTS
Eagles Way provides creative services to a growing client base of businesses and individuals across the country.
Internet connections make my work more efficient and portable, which ensures that your projects will be completed in a timely manner.
LOGOS
information and costs
Your logo will become a powerful and flexible branding tool. It will be used on every form of advertising media that represents your business. The look/style of your logo, will determine the look/feeling of your subsequent business projects (think web site, ads, business cards, etc.).
Designing a logo starts at $700. Price will vary depending on the specifics of your project.
The work I put into creating your logo includes (but isn't limited to) our initial meeting(s), brainstorming sessions via email or phone, and the time I spend in books, trade publications or design magazines -- all of which help articulate your identity.
The physical work of creating your logo begins afterwards.
I sketch, design and send digital working drafts of ideas until a single "look" is agreed upon. I then make edits and revisions to it until a version is approved by you. Your logo is then complete. I then burn various versions of your logo to a CD; you'll have full color and grayscale composites saved in formats suitable for both web and print use.
Finished logos belong to you and can be used in any way you choose.
Future tweaks or changes to a logo that is completed and already paid for will be treated as a new job and billed accordingly at a rate of $60/hour.
PRINT WORK
information and costs
I can design all of your company's promotional pieces. I will fully coordinate paper choices, proofing and estimating of printing for you unless you choose otherwise.
I have excellent local and online sources for printing.
Client is responsible for printing costs at the time of purchase and as a result of that, I don't mark-up your printing costs.
Professional writers are contracted to create or edit your copy.
Initial jobs for clients (new business cards, a brochure and a post card, e.g.) are typically estimated upfront while ongoing jobs (weekly ads within an established campaign, e.g.) are billed by the hour at $60/hour.
I send invoices twice monthly.
The remaining balance due is expected within one week
of the invoice date.
WEB SITES
information & costs
Getting a web site up and running requires three things, all of which I can do for you.
You must
1) buy a domain name,
2) create the web site itself
3) purchase web site hosting so your site's live and available to the public 24/7, 365 days a year.
Domain names cost $15 a year, and basic hosting plans start at around $125 a year. These costs are either renewable through me annually or set-up to go directly to your inbox for renewal action on your end. Building the web site itself is a shared job. Primarily, clients organize page by page their photos, text, forms, merchandise and any other elements they'd like to include in their web site. After that's done, I begin the work of designing and building the web site, combining all elements in a cohesive, attractive and user-friendly way.
Initial consultations via email, phone or in person are free. Consultations define what you need and how best I can help. Afterwards, I will put together a written estimate of costs and a work summary. I ensure all terms are mutually accepted before any job begins. Once things are agreed upon, I get to work.
Because every project is different, the cost of creating a web site varies greatly. I prefer to create basic, beautiful & easy-to-maneuver-through websites and if a shopping cart or other interactive applications are required, I will refer you to another web associate. My hourly rate is $60 per; sites start at $1000, and most web site projects I handle come in under $4000. I request half of the project cost upfront to get things started. The remainder is due upon completion and is expected within one week of the invoice date.
For web site maintenance and other types of ongoing work I charge hourly at $60/hour and invoice you once a month.
Because every client's budget is different I am happy to consider payment terms individually and create a plan that works for both of us.
A Less Costly Graphic Design Process
Graphic Design takes time... It could take less time or more time... and time = money. To streamline the process, it helps to be organized and have some idea how you would like to represent your business and services. Researching and gathering examples of other companies logos, websites or printed pieces that appeal to you, help the designer determine the direction your design will take.
Making your changes/adjustments all at once, in an organized manner via the written word (e-mail preferred) helps avoid miscommunication and saves time which means you are also saving money.
